Selena Gomez really said, “Oh, I got snubbed for an Academy Award nomination? OK, I'll show up to the 2025 Oscars looking the most gorgeous I literally ever have.” OK, she didn't actually say that, but everything about her says she's deserving of every spotlight, every eye, every mention on every website's best everything list. Somehow, the always-stunning multi-hyphenate had onlookers' jaws dropping with her next-level red carpet look.
The Emilia Pérez star and singer of the Oscar-nominated song “Mi Camino” arrived at the Oscars wearing a Ralph Loren gown whose off-the-shoulder, form-fitting, sparkling look—those are thousands upon thousands of crystals you're looking at—brings to mind Marilyn Monroe's “Happy birthday, Mr. President” moment from 1962. The skin-tone-matching hue is complemented by a similar shade of nail polish—a mix of CND's Rule Breaker and Silk Thread—applied by her trusty nail artist, Tom Bachik.
Gomez's skin could not have looked smoother or softer from face to fingertips—I can't see her legs, but I bet I'd be right if we said “head to toe” too—thanks to products like SK-II Skinpower Advanced Cream and La Mer The Hand Treatment. Meanwhile, her wide, V-shaped neckline displayed perfect décolletage that no amount of contouring tricks could ever help me achieve.
The Rare Beauty founder's makeup is, of course, flawless, with glowing yet mostly matte skin thanks to a combination of products like True to Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder, Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush, and Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo left the shine to her eyes and lips, with several shades of All of the Above Eyeshadow Stick and Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm in Nearly Petal respectively.
And obviously, her lob is giving classic movie-star bombshell with its super deep side part and sculpted, soft waves. Stylist Renato Campora used Joico JoiWhip Firm Hold Design Foam and Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Creme before drying her hair and styling it with the Dyson Corrale.
This look will go down in Hollywood history as not only one of Gomez's best but also one of the Oscars' all-time best.
